I thought this was interesting. John Paul’s work continues even after his death!

Great Britain: Death of the Pope sparks great interest in the priesthood

London ([www.kath.net](http://www.kath.net/)): The death of John Paul II has sparked much interest in the priesthood and in the Church in general. That was reported by Paul Embery, head of the “National Office for Vocation,” a office of the Bishop’s Conference of England and Wales for pastoral vocations.

“We have noticed, that after the death of the Holy Father, there has been a renewed interest in the priesthood, and in the Church in general,” he said to the Daily Telegraph. “Now we will try to build off this to help slow the downward trend.”

The National Office for Vocation has started a wide reaching public campaign for priestly vocations. “Get collared for the challenge of a lifetime,” will be a motto, among others, for summer advertisements in the London subway. This slogan will also appear on beer mats dispensed at youth festivals.

In Birmingham a youth festival for 18 to 30 year olds will take place. The organizer is the Catholic Youth Service. “We want to address the youth in fantastic way, like John Paul II did at one time, and make his teachings fully present,” said the director Helen Bardy.

Paul Embery said, “Previously, we only advertised inside the Church. Now we are extending the campaign to other areas of life of young people, and hopefully we will give them something to think about, and arouse their interest.”

kewl! 👍 I had a feeling this might happen.

PRAY FOR US, JOHN PAUL II !!!

I’ve been thinking about the Seminary for the past few years, and after John Paul II’s death I felt called to go. I’m pretty much finished with the application process, and all they have to do is accept me for the fall.
Pray for me everyone, because I know John Paul the Great is!
God Bless,

Justin
