BRITNEY SPEARS CONCERT CANCELED! Unfortunately, our efforts to get pop sensation Britney Spears to perform a benefit fund raiser for the parish have proven unsuccessful. Her calendar is full. Therefore, those who have been arriving at Mass every Sunday dressed for a Britney Spears concert should know that they don’t have to do that anymore. Modest church-going attire will do nicely. We will notify you if the situation changes.

The one I want to see is, “Please be advised that cell phones must be turned off before entering the church. Parishioners are warned that if electronic devices such as phones or Gameboys are audibly heard during Mass, they will immediately be forcibly confiscated by the ushers, taken outside the building, and destroyed. We expect your your co-operation.”

Where did the quote come from? A bulletin? In which diocese?
 
please turn off all cellphones, blackberries, ipods and other electronic devices (except hearing assistance for the deaf) as their use will cause our sound system to emit ear-splitting feedback and make the ushers crazy so they take up multiple collections.
 
Multiple collections? Sheesh, then maybe cell phone users are doing their parish a favor…😃
