Britainy is 25, When she was a teen her parents did keep a tight reign on her. You may recall that Brittany made a huge deal about remaining a Virgin until she was married when she was a teen star. its only after she becmae an adult and moved out that her problems started.
Britney’s first music video was highly inappropriate for a fifteen year-old girl. Also, her claims of remaining a virgin were untrue - she now says she lost her virginity to Justin Timberlake when she was a teenager.

I remember seven years ago she was on the Nickelodeon Kid’s Choice Awards right after her implants and she was dancing around in a skin tight cropped top that, erm…allowed you to see everything. Parents were outraged - and they should have been. Granted, she was probably about eighteen then, but if you grew up in a household with a “tight reign,” you would not automatically start acting that way as soon as you turned eighteen.

Britney Spears shaved her head. Anyone else think she has totally gone off the deep end?
To believe Briteny Spears has “totally gone off the deep end,” is to concede that she ever had it together in the first place. This episode is merely a continuation of the ongoing train wreck that is Ms. Spears’ life.

My mother mentioned this last night and asked the same thing. As a woman who went through a pretty awful divorce last year, I can say I almost TOTALLY idenify with Britney on this one! You do some weird things and you think some weird thoughts. And imagine having it all going on right out in public. Shaving your head isn’t going to hurt anyone, I say if you feel the need, go for it.

She might be on drugs. A girl who lives near me who is a drug abuser did almost the same thing. She had an arguement with her mother and went up to her room and cur her hair off. I think she needs help. I feel bad for her and her children.

The level of idle speculation, judgementalism, and rumor-mongering that characterizes this thread exceeds the bounds of acceptable discourse, even allowing for the excesses that sometimes accompany discussion of public figures in the entertainment media and certainly is not representative of the Christian virtue of charity, something on which folks might wish to meditate.
