Broke rosary but it was blessed

I was wondering if anyone can reassure me on this and I know it sounds silly but my auntie got me a rosary and when I opened it out broke because one of the tiny links became loose and broke it off and I did fix it there with some pliers , them she told me she had it blessed by her preist , does this mean anything that it broke and the preist blessed it before hand ?

Are you asking if the blessing remains even though it broke? If it’s been blessed, it remains blessed even if it broke.

Your rosary is still blessed. And no, it means nothing that it broke. Glad you were able to fix it!

I always find the Rosaries that are beaded with rope of some sort are the strongest and best to use for me. But some Rosaries that are on chain can be special to some if looked after. I have a rosary on chain that has a medal of Our Lady of Mount Carmel De Garabandal on it and has a piece of conchitas missal which Our Lady kissed. so that is special to me and I pray on it from time to time.

It depends on how broken something is on if it retains a blessing or not. If it is still what was blessed it still maintains the blessing, if it changes form it loses the blessing. If the rosary simply lost a link and still had all beads, yes it would maintain the blessing as it is still a rosary, if it loses beads and is no longer a rosary the blessing is lost. A “rosary” with only 40 beads is not a rosary and would not maintain the blessing it received as a rosary.
