In the grand scheme of things, I know this may sound like a silly thing to be sad about, but I would be very appreciative if everyone could pray for me to meet my soulmate soon. I’m 21 years old and I try my best to be a good Catholic and not sin, but in this day and age it is very difficult to find a guy who’s on the same page as me and its becoming very frustrating. I have my values and countless times I have had my heart broken by guys who are only interested in one thing. It hurts when guys don’t even take the time out to get to know you because you don’t want to forsake your values for them.

I know there are so many more serious things that people need prayers for but if you could just spare a few minutes to pray for me to find hope and true love!

O Raphael, lead us towards those we are waiting for, those who are waiting for us! Raphael, Angel of Happy Meetings, lead us by the hand towards those we are looking for! May all our movements, all their movements, be guided by your Light and transfigured by your Joy.

Angel Guide of Tobias, lay the request we now address to you at the feet of Him on whose unveiled Face you are privileged to gaze. Lonely and tired, crushed by the separations and sorrows of earth, we feel the need of calling to you and of pleading for the protection of your wings, so that we may not be as strangers in the Province of Joy, all ignorant of the concerns of our country.

Lord, you arranged for man and woman to be together. Lead this soul with holy angels toward the vocation to which she accurately discerns. Send holy angels arrange accordingly, that sin always be avoided and that holiness prevail in all Patientlywaitin’s relationships. Mend her heart with the love of Our Lady, especially for any injustices she incurs for the sake of the faith. Dissipate the darkened clouds that loom over this fallen world, that a foretaste of heaven’s light reach the soul of this child of yours. Lead her always with many graces for faith, hope, love, and joy. Have mercy, Lord. Our Lady, angels, and saints, pray with us. Amen.

Broken Hearted…

Sorry to hear your “love life” is either non-existent or disappointing, to say the least, frustrating. It’s like trying to find a needle in a haystack! 😦

On another note, I’ve talked to, not sure how many available Catholic guys, on the forum, and off, who say they ARE practicing Catholics and say something similar about today’s women, Catholic and not.

They have many of the SAME complaints. They’ve told me that if they prefer to wait for marriage, the women conclude that either the man doesn’t love them or that they’re gay!
Such is life in this day and age. They are JUST as frustrated as you are, I think.

I can tell you that, though these men are VERY scarce, they DO exist, the same as good, Catholic women are in short supply and EXIST.

Too bad ya’ all couldn’t find each other.

Have you tried looking in Catholic single or church events?

It’s rough, though.

I think there is even a group, on the forum, for people praying for their future spouses. That might be a good place to start.

Prayer to Find a Good Husband

O Jesus, lover of the young, the dearest Friend I have, in all confidence I open my heart to You to beg Your light and assistance in the important task of planning my future. Give me the light of Your grace, that I may decide wisely concerning the person who is to be my partner through life. Dearest Jesus, send me such a one whom in Your divine wisdom You judge best suited to be united with me in marriage. May his character reflect some of the traits of Your own Sacred Heart. May he be upright, loyal, pure, sincere and noble, so that with united efforts and with pure and unselfish love we both may strive to perfect ourselves in soul and body, as well as the children it may please You to entrust to our care. Bless our friendship before marriage, that sin may have no part in it. May our mutual love bind us so closely, that our future home may ever be most like Your own at Nazareth.

O Mary Immaculate, sweet Mother of the young, to your special care I entrust the decision I am to make as to my future husband. You are my guiding Star! Direct me to the person with whom I can best cooperate in doing God’s Holy Will, with whom I can live in peace, love and harmony in this life, and attain to eternal joys in the next.

Go to a catholic retreat for singles. Many people I know found their mates there.
