Okay, so I’ve heard about the 3 days of darkness prophecy.
With a quarter to a third of humanity gone, and only the faithful left: why must st. Peter and St. Paul come down to appoint a new Pope… Does this mean that the Pope’s line has been broken and St. Peter has to start a new line?
 
This prophecy appears to be based on private revelation from some saints and blesseds. Although we are not obligated to believe a private revelation, whatever this may mean, it is certain that the line of Peter will never fail, as Christ promised to Peter in Matthew 16:18 and Luke 22:31-32, for example.

That is not a Church teaching. Ignore it.
 
Sorry, it just seemed strange to me. Any official document from anyone from the rank of bishop up to the Holy Father Himself have anything on this?
