Over the years I have a collection of rosaries that are missing beads (and in some cases whole decades), prayer cards that the lettering has rubbed off of, small statues that have suffered from my many moves during college . . . etc. (please don’t take this as me not cherishing religious items - I do:) ). Since these are blessed and religious items I know that I am not to throw them away (just the thought makes me feel sick - I have loved these items) - what should I do with them? Ideas and correct protocol would be greatly appreciated!

Hi Pilar,
I like your question that you brought up. It is a very good one. I too wonder about what to do with those items. Hopefully someone can answer that question.

you can bury them or burn them. That is the norm for disposing of blessed objects.

I just read about a lady who repairs rosaries and sends them to the troops. I’m sure you can find someone who does the repairs, rather than dispose of them (the rosaries, that is).
