Amid increasing complaints of illegal fireworks detonations, Adams on June 21 said people should talk to their neighbors about the “nonviolent act,” rather than call the authorities and risk a “heavy-handed” police response.

This woman tried to solve it herself by asking the people to just move away from the little kids but these gangs don’t care. That is why police are needed and more are needed not less in these communiities.

I wonder if a “heavy-handed” police response was on the table because the type of thugs who recklessly endanger people with explosives in the public square are also the type to gun a woman down in the streets?
 
Yes, I just read about this. They blamed it on illegal guns (bad, yes) not the criminal who shot the victim.

That’s the anti-law-and-order attitude for you as far as I’m concerned. A real tragedy, normally, you’d call the police over this.
