Firstly, my deepest apologies to the mods. I have tried PMing him, with no response. I figured his favorite (?) subforum would be the next step.

Brother has not been on since mid January :eek:😦

Does anyone know if he is OK, please?

I would like to take this opportunity to thank him for his many clarifications of Franciscan/Catholic issues. He has truly enriched my spiritual life.

I have missed his comments too!

I know he is a religious brother (forget which order) but I think he self limits or is limited on computer usage.

I hope he will be back soon!

Yes I thought so, and as a Franciscan, I imagine one if the other priests needs the computer more or Fr JR is focusing on other matters.

He is not a priest. He is a brother.

I, too, have tried to PM him as well as send an email that I found on his community’s site. (no response)

One of his apostolates was to come here.

I dont know this, but I suspect his health is keeping him away. It has been poor for some time.

He is not a priest, he is a brother.

More than likely, it’s probably his health. He has not been well for some time between the diabetes and the luekemia

Many have thought that over the years, and he always, in his kind way, corrected them. 🙂
He would go on to teach that in the Fransican tradition, those friars who are priests are never thought of in higher esteem as the other brothers.

They are all brothers first. 👍
 
I’m pretty sure that even if Bro. JR was ordained, he would still like to be called brother. 🙂

Please pray for Bro. JR. He’s in the hospital with double pneumonia.

I will pray fervently for him. FYI, Br. JR is the major superior of his religious institute, the Franciscan Brothers for Life (FFV). He’s the only one in his house wiith regular Internet privileges.

Do you think there is a way for him to get a word of encouragement from people here on the forums?

Maybe we write emails to the address on the Contact Us page of his orders website?
