***It is incumbent on American Catholics to exercise Catholic citizenship. We cannot separate moral duty from patriotism. Patriotism calls for Catholics to lobby the government to make sound decisions that are consistent with the teachings of the Catholic Church. Staying at home, being silent or complaining and doing nothing, doesn’t fulfill one’s obligation to one’s country and much less to one’s God.

That is simply being judgemental and the writer has no right to make such a sweeping judgement on any individual.
Also, it not incumbent on anyone to get out of the house and lobby.
Is the writer suggesting staying at home praying is useless and doing nothing??
