Is it allowed that a Brown Scapular be encased in a plastic case? I’ve always thought that the answer was no , but I recently obtained one from the Carmelite Friars that has the plastic covers on both ends. If the Carmelites say it’s ok, I guess it’s ok. It’s they’re devotion after all.

Many scapulas now come with the plastic case. It protects them & helps them last longer.
