Brothers and sisters, please read, spread and pray for the Vatican to take action.

On 9 June 2019, over 1 million people took to the street to protest against a bill to amend the Fugitive Offenders Ordinance in HK. The Bill will remove the legislature’s power of HK to scrutinize extradition arrangements to Mainland China.

The HK government responded that they are not planning for any concession, though. On 12 June 2019, several tens of thousands protests took to Legislative Council to express their stance toward the extradition.

During the protests, HK police used excessive force, including tear gases, rubber bullets, bean bag round guns, to clear the unarmed protesters without giving warning.

A group of pastors trying to protect citizens, asked for warning from police force before using weapons towards unarmed protesters, especially teenagers, were given a cruel response of ‘Ask your Jesus Christ come down and see us’ from a police.

Violence, should never appear towards religion and citizens.

Sorry, I’m confused.
If you want us to pray for the situation, we can do that.

However, if you’re looking to organize some sort of mass protest from churches in other countries based on something that happened in Hong Kong, a place most of us are not from and know nothing about, that’s unlikely to be effective and it’s really not appropriate for the forum.

I believe it is illegal to protest in HK and mainland China. The knowledge of that is the warning.

Certainly, I will pray for those negatively impacted by police actions, but the situation is probably more complex than what people realize.

Incorrect.
The fact the people are protesting runs against this.
The reality is that there is something worse than authoritarian rule. And that is mob rule.
I challenge anyone brave enough to stand in any of Hong Kong university and publically proclaiming how good the Chinese government is. You and your family will become an Internet target by the young people of HK. The reality is that people who support the government are too afraid to speak up. Freedom of speech is now only in name only due to these mobs who supposedly espoused democratic values.
 
You conveniently left out “I believe”. This was not stated as a fact, but a belief.
 
The news reports have been following this Hong Kong crisis and protests and we will continue to pray for the people of Hong Kong

Thanks Gracie, I was really confused as I got a “new thread” notification about this and when I looked it was the same thread I saw before. So I didn’t know what was going on. My account is set to only notify me of new prayer intentions so apparently I got the notification because the thread was moved.
 
I pray for all the police that was injured by the rioters and ask our Father in heaven to have mercy on the brutal rioters and those who incite violence such as Cardinal Zen, as they really don’t know what they are doing and I hope their sins will be forgiven. I pray in Jesus name, Amen.

Let us pray for the parents and family of the victim who was murdered whilst pregnant in a most heinous crime. May the LORD guide you through this difficult time and especially give you courage to face the real possibility that the murderer of your beloved daughter will be soon able to roam around the streets of Hong Kong freely in October, and able to profess publicly (as he has admitted) that he has murdered your daughter, and yet, there is nothing the police can do about it, as a result of the actions of the cold-blooded protestors and rioters, the amendment bill has now been delayed indefinitely.

I trust that our LORD will protect you and your family. SING HALLELUJAH TO THE LORD!!!

We ask this through Christ our Lord, AMEN.
