Dear ahimsaman72,
Most kind words, ahimsaman.
I once went with an elderly friend for her visit
to an audiologist. The audiologist told me
I was the most soft-spoken person she ever
met !
To hurt another with cutting or harsh words
makes that person’s journey much more
difficult, don’t you think? It’s not that I have
never done that, but I was truely sorry later.
I find ridicule most difficult to endure.
I have seen people bait one another, with
no intention, apparently, of understanding
another’s position.
Don’t you think that it is all too easy to
confuse “I understand your position” with
“I agree with your position” ?
I have been given the “beady eye” occassionally
by some of my fellow Christians when they know of
my interest in Buddhism. I have great respect
for honor, compassion, respect wherever I
find these qualities.

Thanks for your efforts in this thread,
Good wishes,
