I saw the World Over report with Raymond Arroyo on this alleged miracle. The Eucharist was dropped on the floor. A deacon picked it up and put it in an ablution cup. It was later seen to have something dark red inside. There are two bishops in Buffalo and neither was interested in having an investigation. The contents of the cup was ordered to be destroyed.

A woman involved in religious education in that parish witnessed this event and she was convinced this was a divine action.

I am a skeptic about such things.

I went to an Orthodox church in the Chicago area where there was reported to be a weeping icon of Mary. I saw a a painting of about 26 by 30 inches and it appeared like there was something glistening, which resembled a stream of tears from the eyes of the Virgin. I did not approach too closely, so as not to disrupt anything. From several steps away, it appeared to be a glistening dried stream of clear varnish. I was curious enough to drive some miles in daytime traffic to get there. i did not experience any deep spiritual sensation.

I watched this on YouTube after you posted about it. Why would the bishops not look into this matter? There were eye witnesses and the priest was very deeply affected as well as the woman interviewed. The photos look very much like the photos from other Eucharistic miracles. I got chills when she spoke of how Bishop Malone ordered the Host destroyed without any further testing. Knowing the scandal he is involved in just adds to the sinking feeling. Why destroy the host without investigating? Why state that Jesus is no longer present if you aren’t willing to examine? This happened on St. Andrew’s feast day—the apostle known for leading others to Jesus, including his brother Peter.

Praying for the people of Buffalo and asking God to continue being with them.

Sacred Heart of Jesus, have mercy on us!

One other thing just hit me. The bishops ordered the priest to destroy the host. If they were so sure that Jesus was no longer present and unwilling to investigate, why would they not destroy the host themselves? In the pictures it is clear that the host was not dissolved and was still intact. The poor priest who was so deeply affected had the trauma of destroying what he believed to be Jesus, living in the Eucharist. Prayers for that priest and the EMHC that begged him not to do it. I know their hearts are heavy.

This seems to me, after seeing a visible host in the photos, to at least be a case of abuse of the Eucharist. Even if there is no miracle, destroying an intact host is troubling. Doing so in order to prevent an investigation adds to the magnitude. But it seems to be the habit of abuse followed by covering it up, especially in Buffalo.

I live in Buffalo and have never heard of it.

I am a skeptic of these kinds of things.
