Hi everyone, if you would be so kind to read the entire post, Iâd appreciate it!
I was recently accepted to a graduate school program. I didnât like this graduate school program at all, however I decided to attend since it was the only school in the area that accepted me.
I finished orientation this week and my 1st day of class is this Tuesday. The vibe I get from this school is it is out to swindle money from me. It is a for-profit school and the feel of it definitely feels like a business, and what I even found out is that the school as a whole is NOT regionally accredited.
Although they did say they were planning on getting regional accreditation, I have seen no evidence of this, so basically Iâll just have to take their word for it.
I was thinking of leaving this school, but if I decide to leave Iâll have to wait another year to apply to other schools, and there is also that chance that I wonât get accepted next year to other schools. If that happens, I would have basically wasted 2-3 years just applying/re-applying to schools.
If I decide to stay and the school doesnât get regionally accredited, my long term goals of pursuing higher education wonât be possible anymore since I would need to be a graduate of regionally accredited school in order to pursue higher education.
On the other hand, I am on the wait-list for another school, which is my1st/preferred choice school, however I heard there are about 200 people on the wait-list.
Please pray for me that I make the right decision. Please pray that God Blesses me with great news, especially that I get accepted from the wait-list. Please pray for all those in similar situations as me.
Iâve grown stressed, depressed, worried, vomited, nervous breakdowns, and even thoughts of suicide had crossed my mind (donât worry though I wonât). Furthermore, I do not want to disappoint my parents who have sacrificed so much for me, they really donât deserve this kind of burden on their minds.
Please pray, really pray for me and my family, as well as all families. I thank you all, I pray for all of you each day, God Bless!
