Greetings:
Today, I was encountered (in our religious articles shop) by two Burmese families, new to America. They were being assisted by another unrelated Burmese couple because that couple could speak English. However, that couple was not going to be able to help these two families as they are leaving the state in a few days.
Question: Does anyone know of any new immigrate services available (in Tampa) for Burmese people trying to establish themselves in the U.S.?
I’m not sure of their legal status; I assumed they were here legally. There does not appear to be any organized Burmese community here in Tampa. I’ve just ordered a English-Burmese dictionary online, but it’ll not be here for several days. I’ve also given the English speaking couple the name/address to Catholic Charities here in Tampa.
Thanks in advance for any and all guidance/advice.
