There’s a lady at mass who is in the choir and she has a problem burping. I know it sounds strange but she burps ALL the time except when she’s singing. And since I’m a musician for the choir I’m in charge of running the PA and every time we’re not singing, I turn off the entire choir’s microphones because of the burping. It’s such a bad problem that other choir members are complaining about it, people stare at us when she sings with us, and she even burps during really quiet parts of mass like the consecration. I don’t know what to do. I brought it up with the music director and he doesn’t really know what to do either. Should I bring it up to the priest? What about to her husband? Should I not say anything and hope the music director takes care of it? I mean, he should, since he’s in charge.
Would it be wrong to kick her out of the choir for excessive burping? I feel bad for her because she can’t help it. What would Jesus do? (apart from healing her)
