That’s excellent, thanks. 👍 They seem to have a better system than GPS for their purposes. I’m not sure if hummingbirds have been tested, but birds in general also see more colors than us. As well as seeing into UV, they can discern red/greens that we only see as yellow.

It would be humbling to sit inside a hummer’s brain for a while. Wish we had them here, but we do get hoopoes and bee eaters.

Not really, as by switching to that brain you would give up your human intellect, which will not fit therein. So all sense of “humbleness” and the like would zero out.

Hiya, know what you mean, this section is in silly season.

First saw the bat business reading a history of the idea of consciousness from Kant to date. It seems that philosophers didn’t really come up with anything yet except a list of definitions, of which there are around 18. There’s something that it is like to be bats. 🙂
