Hello,

Please tell me what you think …

A Brother told me not to use peer 2 peer as he said it was illegal, for i did not pay for it … so now i don’t …

in fact, i called one person and offered to pay them for my copy and they told me that it was ok since it was a “limited copyright”

but can i buy a dvd copy (not store bought) of a tv show?

i looked on the internet and i read that it was legal since it was for my own private use and i was not distributing it in anyway …

What do you say?

God bless,
Tj

Copyright laws are interpreted and reinterpreted by people trying to bend them therr way.
“Fair use” is a question that probably cannot ever be answered with exactness.
If you believe that making or having a DVD copy is wrong. Don’t do it.

I once purchased a CD that I had been seeking for a long time. The store had signs all over the place warning not to buy pirated properties.
When I got home and unsealed the case and took out the disk, I saw immediately that the cover was really a very poor photocopy. The disk, it turned out, was not even a very good copy either. A return trip to the store reveialed that, despite the warning signs, every CD in the store was a copy. I did not consider thatI had done anything wrong in the purchase because I bought in good faith. But I am now much more cautious, amd won’t accept a peer2peer copy either. It is dishonest and steals the livelyhood not only of the artist, but of those behind the scenes, right down to the janitor and receptionist.
