A scholar of Greek Literature told me that the prepositions in Romans 3:22 and Ephesians 3:12 are mistranslated. The correct translation for the word “through” is “by the”, and the word “in” is more correctly translated “of”. Romans 3:22 should read:

    "that justice of God which works by the faith of Jesus Christ for all who believe."

This is a big debate among NT scholars. There is no way to be sure whether it is an “objective” or “subjective” genitive. (“Objective” would be the traditional reading–faith in Jesus Christ–subjective would be “faith/faithfulness exercised by Jesus Christ”). But there are lots of arguments on both sides. I think that the “subjective” side has the upper hand, but it’s a complex subject.

Thank you, Edwin. May I ask you another question on the same subject? In the Rosary’s 1st glorious mystery—the resurrection----the virtue is “strong faith”. It seems that most of the virtues in the Rosary are virtues that Jesus had. I assume that this virtue is referring to Jesus as having strong faith.

This virtue stumped me because I thought; “Why would Jesus need strong faith? He is God. He already knew that he was going to rise.” Then I heard about the subjective translation of Romans 3:22. It seemed to fit with the virtue.

Then I remembered that our Divine Lord was also 100% human, and so He, as a human, had to rely on faith in order to be resurrected.
Two questions:

Is the virtue of the 1st glorious mystery—“strong faith”----refering to Jesus as having strong faith?

Are the first 3 paragraphs of this note sound reasoning? Mamelta
