Yes. My parish is part of the Archeparchy of Pittsburgh and this is what we do.

After planting tongue firmly in cheek, I refer to us as “the fasting wimps of the Eastern Church”

Out of curiosity, are you guys Ruthenian? I’m UGCC (Eparchy of St. Nicholas Chicago) and our fasting requirements are pretty minimal as well.

Actual Ruthenians are a distinct minority today, but it is indeed that church.

We have a few who occasionally come to our Liturgy. But, yes they do seem to be vanishing
