I was just wondering if there are any Greek Catholic Churches in my Diocese. I am part of the Diocese of Saint Augustine (North Florida)

The Eastern Catholic Churches, for the most part, have their own dioceses in the U.S., so strictly speaking there will not be a Greek Catholic Church in (i.e. as part of) your diocese. That being said, there may be one near you. This page (byzcath.org/index.php/find-a-parish-mainmenu-111?catid=18) has a list of the Eastern Catholic Churches in Florida. Take a look and see if there is one near your home town. 👍

Also you can try to find out what Eparchies have your geographical location as part of their territory, then look at their website for a list of parishes near your location. This might be tricky as each sui juris will have their own eparchy.

The byzcath directory is okay. Although I haven’t visited it for a while but in the past I find that they may not be that exhaustive of a list. Or maybe thats just for Canada, I don’t know. But its a good place as any to start your search.

It would help more if you stated which city is closest to you. There’s both a Syriac Church and a Maronite Church in Jacksonville. The closest Ruthenian Byzantine church is in Ormond Beach. There is also Saint John Greek Orthodox Church in Jacksonville if you want to attend Byzantine services.

~God Bless
