The attacker clearly has mental problems. It will be interesting to find out if he suffered abuse in or out of the Church. What would be the motive to commit such a crime even given that he is unstable and violent. I stop short of blaming the grand jury report. The poor priest was Byzantine Catholic, not even Latin. They marry don’t they. I don’t think the scandal is even in their Church.

The Byzantines have had some child sex abuse cases in USA. However, this priest has not been accused of anything and clearly this was a random attack by someone who may have been mentally unbalanced.

Being married does not have any bearing on whether a person sexually abuses children or teens. There have been many married teachers, coaches, businessmen, ministers, etc who sexually abuse minors - sometimes even their own children.

This is really what Josh Shapiro, the man behind he grand jury report wants.

I hope you have proof that he specifically wants violence against innocent priests. If not, this is slander.
