1] Listen therefore, O kings, and understand;
learn, O judges of the ends of the earth.
2] Give ear, you that rule over multitudes,
and boast of many nations.
3] For your dominion was given you from the Lord,
and your sovereignty from the Most High,
who will search out your works and inquire into your plans.
4] Because as servants of his kingdom you did not rule rightly,
nor keep the law,
nor walk according to the purpose of God,
5] he will come upon you terribly and swiftly,
because severe judgment falls on those in high places.

i laughed at the way u said I am glad i am not the government, and I would also say I am Glad I am not the President or in congress.

I have always been amused by the order of prayers in the Good Friday Liturgy:
- the Church
- the Pope
- the clergy and laity
- the Catechumens
- all Christian
- the Jews
- those who do not believe in Christ
- those who do not believe in God
- thos in Public Office [the Government]

With ya there CM. In the last Chapter I was somewhat puzzled about all the misery which would befall the wicked after their deaths. But now I am not. At least not in my heart.Hoo boy, I’m really glad that I am not in government.
And I am so greatly comforted by the narrator’s promises of more insight into the Great Protagonist, Wisdom. I am now feeling like a child listening to a bedtime story so exciting that I can’t sleep, eat, or drink until the next time the moon rises.

I don’t think it is limited to those in the government. Doesn’t it includes anyone in power… you have to be careful how you treat those who are weaker (lower rank) than you whether it be in business, or a group, family etc. We need to watch how we behave to those who are weaker or poorer (could even be poorer in faith) don’t y’all think?
