One of us has a heart issue that’s landed her in asystole three times already. She came through each time, but perhaps we could pray for her that she carries on long enough to complete God’s will in and through her, before the time comes when the heart doesn’t meet that challenge successfully. And that her loved ones who are very close to, and depend on her, probably too much of both, will handle it when the time comes.

But I was hoping we will use this thread to include prayer for so many of us who don’t ask for prayer for serious health issues of various kinds, but quietly carry particular burdens alone.

If we could pray for all these.

Good Friday Prayer
O Jesus, Who by reason of Thy burning love for us
hast willed to be crucified
and to shed Thy Most Precious Blood
for the redemption and salvation of our souls,
look down upon us here gathered together
in remembrance of Thy most sorrowful Passion and Death,
fully trusting in Thy mercy;

Prayer for a Miracle

God of all creation, you who spoke a simple command and brought forth light from
the darkness, I ask you now to send forth your miracle-working power to heal (CAF members living with burdens and illnesses. You cleansed the lepers, opened the eyes of the blind and by
speaking a simple command, you empowered the crippled to rise up and walk.
You sent forth your life-giving power to all those in need, including those you raised from
the dead. I ask you to send forth your healing power into CAF members living with burdens and illnesses’s body and give him the strength to fight his illness. I ask this through my Lord, Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen

For Help in Trials

Most holy apostle St. Jude, faithful servant and friend of Jesus, the name of the traitor who delivered your beloved Master into the hands of His enemies has caused you to be forgotten by many. But the Church honors and invokes you universally as the patron of hopeless cases–of things despaired of. Pray for me who feels so hopeless. Make use, I implore you, of that particular privilege accorded to you of bringing visible and speedy help where help is almost despaired of. Come to my assistance in this great need, that I may receive the consolations and succor of heaven in all my necessities, tribulations and sufferings, in particular (CAF members living with burdens and illnesses), and that I may bless God with you and all the elect throughout eternity. I promise you, O Blessed St. Jude, to be ever mindful of this great favor, and I will never cease to honor you as my special and powerful patron, and to do all in my power to encourage devotion to you. Amen.

Lord, so many of us have needs and prayerful hopes, and all kinds of difficulties in our lives and in our health, most of which remain hidden from others,.
Please flood Your healing graces on all these needs in our lives and others.

Mother Mary, please pray for us all.
 
Lord please may the member who has heart issues receive better medical care as the public system is overloaded and doctor’s overworked so she is not under appropriate care.

Lord, please give assistance to all our members and all people whose medical needs are greater that the care they receive or can afford, or who fail to respond sufficiently to treatment.

Please protect and bless all who carry burdens of any kind, including those who do so without others’ assistance.

We don’t escessarily know who we’re praying for Lord.
I know some for whom I began this prayer.
Please be with us Lord in our hidden burdens and private health issues.

Mother Mary please pray for us with tender maternal love.
Pray foro ur best ways forward, the appropriate help, and for the support we need.

I think we all know members we love who quietly struggle with burdens and illnesses.
And then there are all those who don’t even mention theirs.
I love that we are praying for them all, us all x T

Please flood Your strength, comfort, and healing light into their lives our dear God.
