If you could pray for me to get a decent grade I would appreciate it. Thanks.

Mathematics is a beautiful science, especially calculus. 😉 I will pray for you together with Saint Jerome, Saint Barbara and Saint Hubertus. 🙂

God bless, V.

Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.

Amen.

†

Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Amen.

†

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.

Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb Jesus.

Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.

Amen.

Gracious and merciful Father, please come to their assistance.

Our Father, who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on Earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.
Amen.

Glory Be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit.
As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end.
Amen.

We really need to put together a Litany of Saintly Mathematicians. I’m pretty sure there have been more than one, but I don’t really know enough math history.

Anyway, I will pray that you get a good understanding of calculus and earn good grades!

You’re going to have to be on a disciplined work schedule. What calculus are you doing right now ? Calculus 1? I suppose at this point in the semester, you are probably doing
polynomial differentiation.

When I took calculus, I studied 8-12 hours a day. For my final, I took a gram of caffeine and studied like 20 hours, to pull my grade up. Its not joke.
Don’t be afraid to use resources like Chegg, or instructors solutions manuals, that is how you learn the information, just don’t make public opinion about it to the rest of your class.

Cheers!

Our Father, Who art in Heaven,
Hallowed be thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come.
Thy will be done on earth,
As it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
As we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
But deliver us from evil.
Amen. :signofcross:

What edition of what book are you using? Do you have the solutions ? And what other classes are you taking?

Calc 1, is like Fire hose algebra, on steroids. Little bit of calculus, tonnes of algebra from hell. Only way to get through it is to crank out problems from sun up until sun down.

Calc 2 is where the real fun starts. Fun 😃 tions

Thanks for the quick responses already!

@Kount C—in calc II.

So you are probally at this point, doing partial fraction decomposition, and integration by parts. What parts are you having trouble with ? Do you have a chegg account ?

Going to start infinite series stuff. So I guess no problems yet ;). But I really have to do well and the stuff we covered before I struggled with. I don’t have a chegg account.

May God help you understand the mean value theorem faster than I did.

You’ll do alright. I’m praying for you.

St John Paul II and St Jerome pray for this man

Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

As a Math major in University, I had no trouble
getting by Calculus. You see, my dad was a
Math teacher at the local college.
I guess Math is more suited for those who think
logically… Like Dr. Spock of Star Trek!

Remember, O gracious Virgin Mary, that
never has it been known that anyone who
fled to you for protection, implored your help
or sought your intercession was left unaided.
Inspired by this confidence, we fly to you,
O Virgin of virgins, our Mother. To you we
come, before you we stand. sinful and sorrowful,
O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not
our petitions, but in your mercy hear and
answer us!
Amen.

Praying that you succeed in your studies and get a good grade. I admire anyone who can handle Mathematics at an advanced level!
