Calendar of saints

I am in need of help regarding the calendar of saints.

Does anyone have a link to something that they know is the current calendar?

This came up because of a dispute over when St. Peregrine is celebrated. Some sources say May 1st, others say May 4th. I would in particular like help with that issue.

That being said, I am also trying to figure out how to address this as a general problem. Does anyone have a link to the current calendar, and perhaps the - if there was one - or several - if there were many - older calendars?

Unfortunately, I am looking for more than just a bunch of random sites. I’ve come across many of those myself. The problem is that half of them say different things.

For instance, St. Peregrine is said to be celebrated on May 1st, May 4th, and even April 30th according to one site. Why on earth is there not one date that is agreed upon? What’s going on with this?

That’s why I need something official. He is very clearly in the Roman Martyrology from the pre-Vatican II days, so I am trying to find someone who might be able to show me or look up in the current Martyrology.

yeah, i’ve been looking for that too.
can’t find anything.

but in the information that i have found, they do move the dates around, and some saints have multiple feast days. why? i don’t know.
 
The calendar isn’t really what is needed. The calendar lists what is celebrated Liturgically. There are a great number of saints which are not celebrated Liturgically. St. Peregrine is one of them.

What we need is to be able to see the current Roman Martyrology and see what it says on May 1st. That would clear the entire thing up - for any saint.

Yep, that’s the 1954 edition. A new one was published in 2001 with another version (mostly typographical corrections) published in 2005. It’s the only reason I could think of why it would be different. I really would like to be able to see what it says. I can’t imagine there isn’t someone here that has a copy.

The odd thing is that the Servite websites - Peregrine being a Servite - say May 4th.

Whatever that list is, its not the complete martyrology. It doesn’t have Pius V on April 30, e.g.
 
I don’t have access to a current Martyrology but the Servite Calendar of Saints indicates that the memorial of St. Peregrine is May 4. It is, of course, entirely possible, though slightly unusual that the Servites celebrate on a different date from the remembrance in the martyrology. In any case, unless the Servites changed the date recently, you can’t go wrong celebrating it on the 4th.

Where did you get the servite calendar? Is it online, or is it in a book you have?

I try to collect the Propers for the LOTH. I have a bit of the Servite (not St. Peregrine unfortunately), a bit of the Passionist, a bit of the Barnabite, the whole Jesuit, the whole Carmelite (OCDS) , the whole Salesian and the whole Redemptorist Propers. With a bit of luck, I’m hoping to get the Franciscan, Pallotine and the Marianist Propers soon
