True, the cost can be exorbitant, but that doesn’t mean their freedom was curtailed or their rights violated. If they felt strongly about their position they could have fought on and won (including attorney’s fees). They chose not to. Is it a perfect system, no, but it’s the system we’ve had for almost 240 years.
A win is never guaranteed.

The is part of the New World Order agenda. They want to destroy Christian civilization. We will not let them succeed. The gates of hell shall not prevail against the Church.

This web company deciding to settle a case and allow SS people to search each other on their dating sites is part of the New World Order agenda? :ehh:

Of course it is. The New World Order wants to destroy Christianity. This includes Christian moral values. The LGBT community is a loud and vocal minority group that is backed by the New World Order. All Christians need to unite and resist it.

Last I checked Christianity isn’t under any direct threat beyond what some branches view as their moral values no longer being considered the norm by secular society (or even the majority of their own membership). But that’s not some coordinated attack on Christianity. And there certainly isn’t some big bad “New World Order” dictating any of these changes. If anything the world is going the other way, toward increasing balkanization, not a new world order.

I disagree. I’ve watched the coordinated attack on Christians, and the ever-increasing attacks against sexual immorality grow as the years passed. The poison is being dripped into our veins slowly. This is indeed part of the strategy. Since the late 1960s, the evangelists preaching cohabitation and using drugs have engaged in long-term psychological warfare.

Do not watch any media that models bad sexual behavior as normative or neutral. Gay characters are appearing with increasing frequency on TV. Watch less, a lot less.

Well before worrying about society at large the RCC might want to clean up it’s own house if you believe such things are wrong. I mean the majority of Catholics don’t even agree with the church on these issues. If you can’t convince your own of the veracity of your faith’s claims how do you expect the rest of the world to believe you?

I encourage all Christians and men of good will to stop, look at what they are doing, and change, Turn away from sin. That’s always been the message. That’s why I and others will always make posts like this. The road to destruction is wide… The message is always to repent, right now. And keep repeating that message at all times.

That said, that doesn’t mean the Catholic church teachings need to be silent on matters just because her membership is flawed. The same could be said, really for any other Christian faith.
If you want your church to stand up on some matters, then listening to the head of the church might be wise. Do you think that he might use terms like ‘evil lifestyle’ and ‘disgusting and disgraceful’ in reference to gay people?

Or would he say that they are to be respected. Maybe treated as you would treat anyone else.

Incidentally, a survey of users in 2014 (all Christians presumably) found that 61 percent of users would have sex before marriage. christianitytoday.com/gleanings/2016/july/christianmingle-lawsuit-forces-site-to-add-options-for-gay-.html

I await the fury from all posters in reaction to this shocking news.

I am also equally keen to hear the cries of horror that there are dating sites around that discriminate on colour: blacksingles.com/

What would the reaction be to a site called WhiteSingles.com I wonder.

A couple of years ago a few of my friends and I got together to create a dating service. It was all computerized, on solid psychological foundation. Unfortunately it was before the internet “took off” in earnest. But it was fun while it lasted.

The system allowed a plethora of search options, and religion was one of them. All the users had the option of including / excluding any and all kinds of religious preference, and only those people showed up on their search screen who conformed to the users wishes. We even measured how “deeply” religious the people were (it is quite easy), and if someone only wanted to meet others who shared their religious values, that was also an option.

I can tell you that we, the owners and operators of the system could not care at all about the users preferences. It was their choice, and we would never have thought of making a judgment about them. That is how we envisioned a well designed and perfectly accommodating system. Too bad that not everyone considers inclusion a good business practice.

What happened to the age-old maxim: “The customer is always right”?

I just read this article and am furious. When will the takeover of this group in our world end? So all of us must accept this lifestyle and allow LGBT to run rampant over all our beliefs? What about the rights we have to NOT accept this behavior which is contrary to God’s law and natural law? It’s not bad enough that they practice this unnatural, evil lifestyle, but they seem to be constantly rubbing our noses in it. Disgusting and disgraceful.

This is a secular for profit company that already owns a dating website that allows same sex dating which they did of their own free will. The website talks about how it welcomes all denominations and though it may surprise you there are Christian denominations which accept gay marriage and there are gay people who are sincerely Christian.

Well, they must have a different Bible.

I’m wondering now if dating sites can choose “not to do business” in the state of California. I could see Christian Mingle refusing to do business in California, and could “lock out” members in California, rather than do sodomite dating. Years ago, there was discussion that E-Harmony was being pressured into allowing sodomite dating.

Catholicsingles.com is also based in California, I don’t know if this ruling will affect them, or if it will affect CatholicMatch.com or AveMariaSingles.com.

IMHO, I would think these dating sites are a “Private Business”, and could choose their clientele. I wish the cake decorator in Oregon, as well as a few flower shops, would be left alone for refusing to participate in a “same sex wedding”. There was a hotel close to where I live who turned down a same-sex couple who wanted to have their wedding reception there, and I was grateful the hotel manager put his foot down.

Sodomite dating, or basically just dating, since gays and straights both do and do not practice it.

So I guess gay dating sites must allow straight searches now. Hahah. This is ridiculous. The LGBT community is openly attacking us and our rights and I honestly think it’s time for us to strike back and hard. We should put them in place before it’s too late.

I wrote on a different thread that a backlash reaction might well take place when people get fed up enough. This is happening with the dilution of Christian values and culture by allowing so many foreigners into Western countries who not only have no intention of assimilating but instead want to dominate the host countries.

I was thinking of another reason for a grassroots protest, and it came with the opposing briefs for same sex marriage to the US Supreme Court by adult children who were brought up in such homes and testified to the psychological and emotional harm they suffered. Unfortunately, they were not enough since the decision was already in the bag.
