Remember how I applied for a job as an automotive technician the other day? Well, I was just called this morning and asked to come in for an interview! Thank you all so much for your prayers, and I ask you to please continue praying that all works out according to God’s will.
Things are a little better at home. My father has not had a drink in a week. My mother went with me to counseling where the counselor told her that she and my dad need to let me be an adult since I am 20 years old, and that my other household members need to give me space. My mom actually cried and felt sorry for how bad it’s been for me around the house. She spoke with my father who is beginning to understand, and she also talked to my aunt and the family friend and said that they are not to bombard me like they have been. AND THEY’VE STOPPED!
My dad even let me go out the other night with an old friend and allowed me to stay out until 1am, which is UNHEARD OF for him. Usually it’s “home by 9:30-10.” All he asked was that I called occasionally to let them know I was okay…which is totally understandable, because being in criminal justice, I have definitely learned the importance of communication.
Anyhow, things have been tough, but in a different way lately. But I am learning to cope, and I feel so blessed that my parents are truly trying. AND on top of it, I am that much closer to getting a job and becoming independent.
Thank you all so much!
God bless
