I’m a sinner for sure, married with 2 kids , haven’t been to church in 6 months or so yet I feel called to serve God somehow. I’m just posting this because my heart says to. What to do next I don’t know , I’m sure God will lead the way . Anyone else with a similar situation , I’d love to hear.

Good for you…I was there…1984…I suggest make an appointment w/ a Priest to go to Confession…do a good examination of your conscience and this will lighten the load like you couldn’t possibly imagine…the attend Holy Mass and receive Holy Communion…I have a great Marian devotion and I would recomend spending some time in prayer…the Rosary…If you are interested in becoming active in the Church there is always things that need doing…I’m sure that the Rector at your Parish would have some suggestions…welcome back…frequent reception of the Sacraments will help to stay on track…Pax

Well, start by going to church at least once a week. Or at least try. If you can go on a weekday as well, I’m all for it. Line up your faith so that you can serve Him best. You can also serve him by raising your kids in the faith. Your priest may have other suggestions as well. But getting back to church, raising your kids (and taking care of your spouse!), and developing a rich prayer life will get you started.

Pick up the bulletin and read through it each week. Something may strike you. Contemplate your gifts (talents,qualities), for example, if you have leadership qualities, you could start a bible study with guys. Go off of the calendar of readings.
