Well, you certainly have my sympathy…my little lost sheep.

I can say this. There is nothing taught by the church that says you have to confirm to our rituals. However, the chruch being the “pillar and foundation of truth” makes it hard to deny that it is correct in all things.

One thing that I will say to you. There is a comandment that you need to consider. Love your neighbor. You are too filled with rage to carry that out.

Still, I love you. I hope that you come to truth someday.

But, if all you have to offer to the discussion is grief…what value do you bring?

I pray for you my little lost sheep. I hope you come back to God’s flock someday.

Actually no it is not, it is based of Christ. Your Calvinistic view is antiscriptural and against the fathers of Christianity as well. You could not find one Christian that predates the reformation that agrees with your teaching.

I think your invitation to all Christians to come to Ash Wednesday is a wonderful idea! I know a couple of them who are striving to live a Christian life, it might help them understand the importance of the Lenten season that we have witnessed for many thousands of years, to prepare ourselves for Christ’s death and resurrection.

In your opinion which has already been shown to be in error. You don’t need a pope, do you? You are your own little pope. Your own little shepherd…No matter what the early church gave their lives for, YOU are the final authority as to what the Word of God means and you are infallible in your teachings, no matter what the apostles taught their disciples and they wrote down, or what 2,000 years of Christians before you believed.

I suggest that 12 volt man is not participating in the spirit of the forum. I think that he is here to bring dicord only. I suggest that we pray for him to come home and that we stop discussing issues with him further.

It is clear that he is here to defame the church and not to learn. For that we are sorry, but we do more harm talking with him than we can ever do good. All those seeking truth find the Catholic Church.

I think that he is not here seeking anything except serving himself.

I apologize to all for my part in the total derailment of this thread. I should have seen this guy’s intent comin’.
I am sorry. I will withdraw and wait for him to open a threda on a real issue and then deal with him as per the forum rules.
