In the December, 2008 and January, 2009 issues, Campbell Soup Company bought two, two-page advertisements in the latest issues of the nation's largest homosexual magazine, "The Advocate." The ads promote their Swanson line of broth.
In one of the December ads, the Campbell Soup Company highlighted the lives of two lesbians (according to their website, they are married) with their son. The others feature New York City chefs. See the ads here.
**Campbell Soup Company has openly begun helping homosexual activists push their agenda. Not only did the ads cost Campbell’s a chunk of money, but they also sent a message that homosexual parents constitute a family and are worthy of support. They also gave their approval to the entire homosexual agenda. **

Why are people so worried about homosexuals. Yes, it is against the Catholic religion but how does it hurt you specifically? It doesn’t. It doesn’t hurt anyone. And the argument is it’s a sin. Well, so is lying and stealing and not honoring your mother and father. And remember the “he who is without sin cast the first stone”? I think people need to focus their energy on things that really do hurt society like the homeless, child abuse and animal abuse and the economy. But two people of the same sex who love each other does not affect your life or anyone elses life in any way whatsoever so just leave it alone.

Everything that is intrinsically evil affects everyone.

That’s a bold statement. Just because you don’t agree with it doesn’t make it “evil”. And it does not affect you in any way.

The Catholic Church and Natural Law as well as logic agree with me. Care to take anyone of these on?

My guess is that Campbells is not so much interested in pushing a “homosexual agenda” but more interested in expanding their “marketing agenda” to potential buyers (gay or straight).

Yes homosexual sex is viewed by the Church as sinful. But gay people eat food too.

They do not read billboards, papers or other forms of advertising?

When an advertiser pays to place an ad they are supporting the publisher and their agenda if any.

Yes, you are correct about the Catholic Church’s views. But how does it directly affect YOU? It doesn’t. Nothing in your day to day life is affected because two women choose to spend their lives together.

Through their labels program Campbells has helped fund lots of money towards Catholic school improvements too.

Does this mean it is pushing a “Catholic agenda”. Should all protestants boycott for this reason?

I’m just saying that I doubt the company really cares one way or another about homosexual sex.

My guess is that they want to sell soup.

So your claim is that even private sin does not affect the world?

The reason the Catholic Schools get the donations is primarily to support education. I guess the Protestants could complain and then Campbells would have to make a decision.

One thing to be aware of. Many of these companies do indeed justify their support so they can sell soup. The fact of the matter is that many “closet” homosexuals have made their way up the corporate ladder and are now exerting their influence. They are executing the agenda.

I’m glad they support education. I think our schools both Catholic and public, need all the help they can get. I’m also glad that they don’t limit it to only public schools and include Catholic schools in the labels for education program.

I don’t know how many homosexuals, closet or otherwise, are in the company. Most large companies will almost certainly have heterosexual and homosexual individuals employed with the company.

I could be wrong, but my guess is that the company was looking at marketing statistics and saw that the gay and lesbian community could be a potential target market for their products, so they decided to advertise in a publication that would be read by their target market and target their advertisement in that publication toward their target audience.

I doubt that they are trying to send any message endorsing gay sex. I do think they are trying to send the message to those already in the gay community - “Buy Campbells products”. They are less interested in selling “homosexuality” than Campbell’s goods to those who have already “bought” homosexuality on their own without Campbell’s influence.

I’m sure they want straight people to buy Campbells also - as well as Catholics, protestants, atheists and anyone else.

No it does not affect the world at all. Even if marriage were legal for them, it still wouldn’t affect your life. Prejudism is a sin too.
I can remember when it was a “sin” for a white person and a black person to get married. Back then people could find Bible quotes to support it too.

Changing the meaning of marriage does not affect the world? It certainly does. Does calling homicide choice change the way people view persons?

Being prejudiced against intrinsic evil is not a sin. It is a virtue.

You can’t compare the two at all. Homicide DOES affect others. And for the record, homosexuality is not a choice. When did you decide you were going to be straight? And why would someone choose to be homosexual knowing how it’s viewed by a lot of folks.

So does codification of faux unions. It teaches others, especially youth, that bad behavior is acceptable.

Actions are a choice be they homosexual or heterosexual.
