Can a baptized Catholic be denied last rites?

Canon law governs aspects of who may and may not receive sacraments.

The “last rites” are confession, anointing, viaticum. It is possible someone would be unable to receive them for a number of various reasons.

We cannot comment of specific people.
 
OP, note that a funeral Mass and last rites are very different things.
 
The word Viaticum literally means provisions for a journey. It refers to the last Holy Communion given to a dying person.
 
Without repentance, it certainly can be refused. No Sacrament is forced on a person - neither will the Sacrament cure a hardened heart.

Rather, look at Jewish mobster “Dutch” Schultz. When mortally wounded, he called for a priest, who administered the last rites.

Look at the two thieves crucified beside our Lord. One repented. One did not.

It’s all about repentance.

One. If the Spirit has left the body, some will not perform the Sacrament of the Sick. Some might give a little bit, if it just happened. But, the dead are not anointed.
If a person refuses the sacrament.
If the person was known to be in mortal sin and wouldn’t confess it. Pt is conscious. If unconscious the Sacrament Of Sick will be given w oil. Confession is not possible. Communion not given. Pt can’t swallow.
I don’t know what’is written x for no w death. But, I’ve assisted w this in ICU sometimes.

I’m sorry to have come across this. There are a lot of complicated matters involved in organized crime, it is a brutal lifestyle. The Church has seen a little bit of it I’m sure.
