I was invited by my friend to attend a Passover seder and said I could attend. She knows that I am Catholic, and I would not be required to pray or participate beyond eating dinner. I thought it would be nice to meet her family and see what a Passover seder is like, but I don’t want to create a scandalous situation. Would it be okay for me attend?

Yes, of course. In this situation, it would be for a Catholic like attending a non-Christian worship service as a guest and observer. And by attending, you would be enabling your Jewish host to perform a mitzvah, a Jewish good deed, by making it possible for her to welcome a guest to her family’s seder.
