I belong to a Catholic email group. A very kind and devout catholic is going to attend a loved ones homosexual union. She is doing so because she feels it will show her love.
I disagree and feel it may even be grave sin! I can’t find direct reference or help anywhere. It seems we are left to our personal conscience. I find this sad. So many are facing this dilemma.
She was invited to go and feels it would break trust or whatever causing the lesbian loved one to turn from the faith even more.
Again, when I read scripture and the teaching magestrium on matters such as witnessing at an invalid marriage even between heterosexuals discouraged.
I posted lengthy posts that made sense to me but was accused of judgementalism, etc. So, I want to see where the church stands on this at this time so I don’t misguide anyone or spout off erroneous things on behalf of the Church. Thanks, Lynn
