I’m sorry if it sounds ignoramous but as a convert, I constantly battle between right and wrong. I used to think “What would probably be so wrong about praying our Lord Jesus together with Protestants or any other Christians from another dominion? It’s not like they have one Jesus, and we have another very different to theirs”. I’m aware that Protestants do not venerate the Virgin Mary like Catholics do. So, perhaps, in this - we shouldn’t be mixing together (my dimwit opinion) because our faith differ regarding the Holy Mother. But Jesus?

Please advice.

You could probably pray the Psalms or the Our Father with the majority of Protestants, they wouldn’t usually have a problem with those.

Short answer: Yes!

Back when I worked for a living, we had a Seventh Day Adventist chaplain. We got along famously and prayed together on many occasions.

Let other denominations see your faith, hope and love. You may not see a change in them right away - maybe not even in your lifetime - but you have planted a seed, and the Lord smiles upon that.

Is it a sin to worship in other Christian churches? Ask an Apologist
Both me and my friend are Catholic. She recently started looking around for another church to attend for Sunday worship, a place where she can feel comfortable and see what it’s like outside the Catholic Church. She has been going to different denominations and even some non-denominational churches. Isn’t it a sin for a Catholic to participate and pray in non-Catholic churches? She says that she will never give up being Catholic, but I worry about her committing sin by doing this. Can you p…

Yeah just don’t take their communion. I prayed with my football team all the time before games. One Our Father. There was also a team pastor. We even had prayer partners. Needless to say we won 5 state championships in a row.
