Can a Catholic Priest give a blessing for prosperity?

I’ve never heard of it. But then, I don’t know everything.

No, He didn’t. But on the other hand, if there is nobody prosperous, and if the best one can hope for is to have just enough to get along, how are the poor going to be helped?

Well, it seems that people are interpreting the term prosperity only in terms of money. That is not a correct way of looking at it. There is no reason why a priest cannot bless a person to prosper spiritually, in their family life, their job, in their ministry, their studies, their health, etc. To limit prosperity to only wealth and riches is a very narrow way of looking at prosperity.

So yes, a priest can certainly pray for prosperity, and if one is using their wealth to better humankind, feed the poor,etc., there is no reason that one’s financial affairs should not prosper, in order to serve God.
