I could be wrong but I’m pretty sure a Catholic may read any book they choose. May books are not highly recommended, but I know of no books currently “banned” by the Church…

I stand ready to be corrected

God bless

The Index Librorum Prohibitorum was abolished by Pope Paul VI in 1966, so you are free to read whatever you want as far as the Catholic Church is concerned.

Yes,and in fact it is good to know other religions also. Knowing more is a good way to not hurt anyones feelings, faith or believes.

Yes. In fact, its common for an Eastern Catholic to be reading a book written by an Orthodox as a source of our own belief. Its not knowing “another religion”. Our faith is essentially the same as the Orthodox. We can learn a lot from them, and them from us.

Hello there.
I was wondering if an orthodox can read catholic books and visit catholic churches?
It’s so interesting, I want to see them. But not sure if I can.

Yes,you can read Orthodox books, you may find them interesting. And everyone is more then welcome to visit and pray in a Catholic Church however a non-catholic can not receive the Holy Sacraments. But please go and take a look. You will love it,I know I do. Take care.
