It’s okay for Catholics to pray to Father God as well, you know.
Christ did that.
Of course it is. 😃 Christ Himself prayed to the Father.
And He taught us: Our Father, which art in Heaven, hallowed be Thy name.

I believe there are 33 beads because if you go around it 3 times you get to the number 99 - which is the number of “Divine Names” if I remember correctly.

EDIT: I see a couple other folks have already stated what I posted. Apologies for not reading the rest of the thread before responding. ☺️ 😳

If you are using it to say Christian prayers then it becomes a Christian tasbih.

I am saying Jesus prayer and on the divide beads Our Father. I have Changed the Long bead in the center called the imam bead by a cross with tassel.

Its good . You can pray anytime, anywhere(not in the bathroom) , easier than rosary (but pray rosary as well) …

A little perspective occasionally helps.

The apparitions of Our Lady of Zeitoun in Egypt occurred over several years, beginning April 2, 1968 and was observed by Orthodox, Catholics and Muslims.

I kinda suspect that if Our Lady did not want Muslims to see her, she would not have appeared to them. Saying the rosary, a private devotion, doe snot require the use of beads; and unless one were to know (nots suspect - actually know) that there was some sort of “blessing” by a Muslim individual or cleric, they are just beads.

If it bothers one that they were made by a Muslim, one is not required to use it; other than that, there is little to nothing to forbid the use of it as a means of saying the rosary and counting the decades.

It is a bit like art: if one finds a picture of Mary and it was made by a Jewish artist, is there anything wrong with putting it up on the wall?

Nope.

Where’s that in the Catechism?

D
Reninds ne of a story I read once about St Teresa of Avila. Once she was using the little nun’s room, and praying as she did so. A devil appeared to her to reproach her for doing this. She said “what comes out of my mouth is for God, and what comes out the other end is for you, devil!” 🤣

Good for her.
There’s been plenty of times when I was praying on the potty, either because I was in a hurry trying to say the Angelus or whatever as I rushed around trying to get myself awake, or because I was feeling very sick or anxious and asking God to make me feel better or help me with the scary situation, or in some cases when I was in the middle of a long prayer that I didn’t want to interrupt and had an urgent call of nature.
Nothing wrong with bathroom prayers.
