Confused? Or open minded?I did do some rethinking and have come to the conclusion that there some rather confused children out there…God help us.

I was.If you’re first coming to this realization, you’re apparently not a teacher.
My friend has divorced parents who both remarried people who each had also been previously divorced. I assume you would not consider that normal, but isn’t it a family? Perhaps it’s difference from your idea of a normal family, so what label would you put on it to distinguish it from a normal family?A single parent family is a family that is generally referred to as a “single parent family” because it is different from a normal family.
A homosexual family is the height of abnormality. To be accepted it would have to be termed “a homosexual family” to distinguish it from a normal family.
I haven’t the foggiest idea. Label it whatever you want.My friend has divorced parents who both remarried people who each had also been previously divorced. No no, since you gave “single parent family” and “homosexual family” labels, I’m assuming all families different from your “normal families” must also have labels. I am anxiously awaiting what you have to say to define her family. And I have plenty of other families for you to label, considering that families come in all different shapes and sizes and differences.I haven’t the foggiest idea. Label it whatever you want.
I label a Mom & Dad and Children a normal family.

Heretic is a strong word. Can you “defend” your use of it?Oh NO you don’t…:
fabio rocha is the OP…HE owns this mess. All I am doing is defending the faith from a “family” of heretics. :knight1:
No.Heretic is a strong word. Can you “defend” your use of it?
OK, let me get this straight…you want me to rule on the family statue of your friend or his family of twice divorced parents…or was it the first set of parents or the second set…or whoever was your friend’s REAL parents…??? Wow, I’m confused. No no, since you gave “single parent family” and “homosexual family” labels, I’m assuming all families different from your “normal families” must also have labels. I am curious to see that if you must give a new name to a family with homosexual parents what other families you will give new names to.
Fortunately, while you can deem them the only “normal” family if you wish, society does not agree with you, and it is society which determines what a family is.I haven’t the foggiest idea. Label it whatever you want.
I label a Mom & Dad and Children a normal family.
You can’t know that for a fact because there is no fact to know. Family demographics tend to be split among socio economic lines not racial lines. I know plenty of white people raised in single parent homes and plenty of black people raised in two parent, married homes. Can you please be a bit more careful with your generalizations. The Ozzie and Harriett family of the fifties is dead. I have one, but we are the minority.
As an example, most black families consist of mom and the kids. Many families consist of steps and halfs. I think you can call any arrangement of adults and children a family. People might harumpf and think that these people are taking something from them by using “family” to describe their arrangement, but heterosexual people have killed the nuclear family, not gays.
It’s not a generalization, it’s a very sad statistic. The MAJORITY of black children…over 70%!!! are born to a single woman. Many of these women have multiple children by multiple men, none of whom are involved financially or emotionally. This is a result of women “marrying” the state through benefits being tied to the child not having a father in the home. Daniel Patrick Moynihan warned that this would destroy minority families and that was in the 1960s or 70s as I understand. You can’t know that for a fact because there is no fact to know. In my friend’s case, her parents got married and had her. They divorced. Her father remarried a woman who had divorced her husband previously and her mother remarried a man who had divorced his wife previously. They do not all live together, but are respective of each other and have given my friend an easier childhood than most divorced parents.OK, let me get this straight…you want me to rule on the family statue of your friend or his family of twice divorced parents…or was it the first set of parents or the second set…or whoever was your friend’s REAL parents…??? Were the parents divorced and then remarried each other and divorced again? Were any of these people Catholic? This is very complicated. I hope you are not going to tell me that they were all living together…
Actually, this would suggest that trends in African-American family structure mimic trends in Caucasian-American families more closely than you would think:A fact is not a generalization. It is a fact. Your anecdotal evidence is not fact.
50% of black children are in a family with an single mother, and 72% of black children are born to unwed mothers.
LisaA is correct about the 1965 Moynihan study.
I believe the point of the thread is to show how selfish gay people are in, not only wanting to marry, but also wanting to raise children in a family. They have purportedly sullied the holy meaning of both marriage and family, and are tearing down the long-established and successful moral foundations of society, and doing irreparable harm to children in the process by their following a well-coordinated and sinful gay agenda put forth by the secularist progressive culture of death. It is hardly a message of understanding, reconciliation, compromise, inclusion, or charity. Any other questions?Actually, this would suggest that trends in African-American family structure mimic trends in Caucasian-American families more closely than you would think:

Also, what is the point of this whole thread? So we can know who to point at and say, “You’re not a real family?” So we know who to exclude from our parish family events? Why does it matter? I’m honestly asking here.
Love it.homosexualists
How about an ab fab confab? So let’s see, what else could we call it? A confab? A gaggle of gays? I’m open to more suggestions.
