Pretty much as the titles says.

Can a someone be a member of more than one confraternity?

And if any of you are members of one or more, please list which one(s) you are a member of.

Thanks & God Bless

it depends on the confraternity. if you join a confraternity that’s associated with one of the main orders like the franciscans or the benedictines they sometimes require that you not be a member of another main order confraternity if that makes sense. other confraternity such as the rosary Dominican confraternity does not care. once again it all depends on the individual confraternity and their requirements hope this helps.

Thanks!

Because of you, I’m looking at the Angelic Warfare Confraternity

Can members of the Angelic Warfare Confraternity be a member of another one too?

absolutely! The Dominicans run it but by joining it you are not a Dominican. third orders are kind of all over the place. what I mean by that is well I’ll give you an example, if you were to join a Carmelite third order you might be considered a lay Carmelite. the Dominican Rosary confraternity, and the Angelic Warfare confraternity are both Dominican but you are not considered a lay Dominican in either one.

all confraternity generally come with an FAQ that addresses eligibility. foremost confraternity but certainly not all the main requirement is simply to be Catholic.

Yes.
Consider the Fivefold Scapular, which involves these:
  • Red Scapular of the Passion Red Scapular of the Passion of the most Sacred Heart of our Lord Jesus Christ, and of the most loving and dolorous Heart of the Blessed Virgin Mary ever Immaculate (no enrollment - Congregation of the Mission)
  • Brown Scapular (does not require formal enrollment - Carmelite)
  • Blue Scapular of the Immaculate Conception (may enroll in the Confraternity of the Immaculate Conception - Marians)
  • White Trinitarian Scapular (may enroll in spiritual membership with the Third Order of the Most Holy Trinity - Trinitarians)
  • Black Scapular of Seven Sorrows (may enroll in the The Confraternity of Our Lady of Sorrows - Servite)
So I say the usual intercessory prayers daily for the three that I formally enrolled in and also for the Carmelites, and to meditate or think, a few minutes occasionally, on our blessed Saviour’s sacred passion and death (associated with the Red Scapular).
