How have you tried? A honeymoon in Fiji lasts a week. True love in a marriage lasts a lifetime. Maybe the fruit of that honeymoon would be a baby! Your parents may have rejected Catholic teaching, but I believe they are like millions of others who reject this beautiful teaching. I guess the Church assumes that if they have just finished making a vow to be open to children, that they meant what they said, and that they are open to children, including any that come to them on their honeymoon.And good luck to all those Catholic newlyweds. They’ll need it. Gosh forbid their honeymoon night in Fiji or Hawaii falls on a fertile time.
