Can a Missal be blessed?

I purchased a 1962 Roman Missal today, can and should I ask for my priest to bless it tomorrow after Mass?
 
Sure.

Just be sure to treat it as a Sacramental after that (don’t toss it in the trash, etc.)
 
Sure you can. You can even ask the priest to bless your home and he will come and bless everything in it. A blessing gives a special protection from God especially when you ask for one. God bless… Gary
