There are very sincere Protestant believers out there who through no fault of their own have been taught faith ALONE in Christ saves them. So these good people serve Christ with the understanding they have ben exposed to throughout their pious life. They never become Catholic and so many are not baptized or consider pennance a necessity since they believe faith alone has saved them and will keep them saved. My question is, will these people when they die, be allowed entrance into heaven even though Jesus said one MUST be born again of WATER and the spirit?

Dear r,

Most Protestant churches have valid baptisms, even though they see it only as a symbol. But Protestants who die without having yet been baptized can have what the Catholic Church calls “baptism of desire”.
