Can a person sin while sleepwalking?

I know it is taught that one cant sin in dreams, but can one sin while sleepwalking?

For example, a Catholic person sleepwalks and eats a turkey sandwich on a Lenten Friday.
 
To my understanding, since it isn’t intentional and the person is not in a state of mind to reason and use logic then no, it is not a sin.

Nope.

You cannot sin while sleep-walking, dreaming, nor under anesthesia.

Sin presupposes consciousness to exercise free will (full consent).

No, it wouldn’t be a sin.

To be honest, I’d be much more worried about someone eating ANYTHING while sleepwalking… that can’t be safe 🙂
 
You can’t sin while sleeping. You can sleep the conventional way or sleepwalking.

Either way it’s still sleeping.
