Can a woman marry a man who was wedded in a Protestant church?

It is believed that a marriage contract becomes legible when it has been contracted in the church befoe the priest. Now asuming a protestant who was married to a fellow protestant with children,decides to take up a marriage contrac with a catholic. How would it look? Can the couple be joined by the priest?:o
 
Hi,

The Catholic Church recognizes marriages between non-Catholics as valid. However, if the non-Cathoic is divorced, there may be the possibilitiy of having the first marriage annuled. A priest would have to be consulted to see if the particular situation warrents such. Otherwise, the non-Cathoilc would be bound by the vows he made and could not marry a Catholic in the Catholic Church.
