Can Allah be called Father?

So a little child who is very sick and suffers and dies sacrifices nothing, in your view?
for someone to sacrifice, he must be aware of what he’s doing. David’s child was not. Jesus was. Add to this that all the NT parallelism, dozens, happen to be with David. Do you believe David and his son are the same person?
Seems that in your view, the all-mighty God gave up His life though He knew He would always have it no matter what. To me that’s sacrificing nothing.
Jesus talked about His death, and His resurrection, and linked them to sacrifice, knowing He will resurrect. If you do not respect what He said, what can i do? being aware of giving your life to others is a sacrifice, even though you will be resurrected.
being God over David is not scripture. Being the Creator of David and all humans is. No room for flexibility.
This is only true in your mind
the Bible is not my mind.
How come? If God would lower Himself to be in the womb of a woman why not a few phases back to be a fertilized egg?
Because God is the reason, not the outcome. The creator, not a creature. The reason a baby is born depends of fertilized egg from sperm. God depends on no one to create His body. The creator creates His own body, even if no human exists on this planet.

I thought Islam means submission. But you say to God, “If I can’t figure you out, you are nonsense.”??? I don’t think so!
First rule about submitting to something is to know what that something is.
I admire that you read the Jewish and Christian scriptures. I think that you want to figure out how to make them agree with the teachings of Islam. But they don’t agree. It isn’t possible to be a Muslim/Christian/Jew or a Christian/Jewish/Muslim.
Why not? I can be whatever I decide to be, who is going to stop me? 🙂 It all makes sense together, for me.

Sure it is. God purposely makes things **hard to understand **so we have to work for it. Those who seek find, those who don’t may lose even what they have.
nothing hard to understand about God calling Himself Father yet Allah never ever. There is nothing to work for about God calling Himself Father yet Allah never ever

How do you know the child wasn’t aware? John the Baptist lept for joy in Elizabeth’s womb. Do you believe Jesus and David are the same person?

If Jesus is God, Jesus already knows he isn’t going to die. How much faith does that take? While a mere human has to trust God completely to give up his life and not go running off scared away from martyrdom.
Because God is the reason, not the outcome. The creator, not a creature. The reason a baby is born depends of fertilized egg from sperm. God depends on no one to create His body. The creator creates His own body, even if no human exists on this planet.
If God created all people anyway what does it matter if He is incarnated through one that originated through sex? God created sex. As long as He created everything He would still be the Creator no matter what. So I don’t get your point.

Sure there is, since most Christians link that attribute of God’s to some kind of Father of a demigod. Rather than as a Father to us all as children of God. So you are no better off than Muslims, both of you have it wrong.

How do you know the child wasn’t aware? John the Baptist lept for joy in Elizabeth’s womb.

1- prove from the Bible that the death is a sacrifice.

2- prove that David and his son are the same person . If they are not, and Jesus is EXPLICITELY paralleled to David, what will this make of your argument?
Do you believe Jesus and David are the same person?

Sure there is, since most Christians link that attribute of God’s to some kind of Father of a demigod.

since Christians do not, Allah is attacking a stawman and He can still call Himself father and correct (if there is any) yet did not.
Rather than as a Father to us all as children of God.

1- prove from the Bible that the death is a sacrifice.
2 Samuel 12:3-7 But the poor man had nothing, save one little ewe lamb, which he had bought and nourished up: and it grew up together with him, and with his children; it did eat of his own meat, and drank of his own cup, and lay in his bosom, and was unto him as a daughter. And there came a traveller unto the rich man, and he spared to take of his own flock and of his own herd, to dress for the wayfaring man that was come unto him; but took the poor man’s lamb, and dressed it for the man that was come to him. And David’s anger was greatly kindled against the man; and he said to Nathan, As the LORD liveth, the man that hath done this thing shall surely die: And he shall restore the lamb fourfold, because he did this thing, and because he had no pity. And Nathan said to David, Thou art the man. Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, I anointed thee king over Israel, and I delivered thee out of the hand of Saul;

2 Samuel 12:13-15 And David said unto Nathan, I have sinned against the LORD. And Nathan said unto David, The LORD also hath put away thy sin; thou shalt not die. Howbeit, because by this deed thou hast given great occasion to the enemies of the LORD to blaspheme, the child also that is born unto thee shall surely die.

1 Corinthians 15:42-45 So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption: It is sown in dishonor; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power: It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body. And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.

John 1:29 The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.

Or resurrect a body into Mary’s womb. Sure.
IF David and his son are one person, then yes.

If Jesus is CREATED by David’s seed and a woman’s fertile egg then yes otherwise He cannot come, then yes.

if Jesus agreed He is David’s biological son, then yes.

all are wrong.

You lost me. Doesn’t matter, I don’t think there’s anything new to add here.

2 Samuel 12:3-7 But the poor man had nothing, save one little ewe lamb;

what does this have to do with david’s son?

1-do you link the idea of a lamb from the passage you quoted? how?

2- You said Davids son sacrifice is a paralllele to Jesus. Where does the Bible say David’s son gave willingly his life as a ransom for humanity…where does the Bible say David’s son granted salvation for humanity with his death?

3- If this case proves that Jesus is the dead son of David, and the NT nowhere mentions david’s dead son, but mentions Jesus as a second David, does this make David and his son Jesus? or does it make David and his son one person?

inJESUS;3215152:
The child was like an innocent Lamb led to slaughter to pay for David’s sin
i reread the passage again and i fail to see how you link the lamb to david’s son.

Nathan , in order to show David his sin, created a fictional scenario inspired from the culture back then, to show David that he robbed something from Uriah, obviously her body.

What does this fictional cultural scenario has to do with David’s son being the lamb who takes away the sins of the world, or even the lamb in this scenario?

FoA, with all due respect, I still have the same question: if it is an acceptable title for God, why are so many Muslims offended by it? If it is still acceptable, why is it not in the Koran? I know that I am asking you to answer for Muslims whose theology may not agree with yours, but if you could point me to the referance that will answer this.

In fact, I would love for anyone to help.

I think that the issue of demigod status was specifically dealt with to point the way to the true identity of Jesus. Since the Quran says to accept the Bible as truth, I can only assume it was a given that we are to see ourselves as children of God.

But just as Muslims accuse Christians of going to excess in their worship of Jesus as a deity, Muslims go to excess with interpreting the Quran without the Bible, believing that no one can be a spiritual child of God, that the Bible is all corrupt, that Ishmael was bound not Isaac, and so on.

That’s about the only explanation I can give.

So, and I know this is a guess, did Muhammid leave God as Father out of the Koran or did God leave it out and contradict the teachings of Jesus?

That’s about the only explanation I can give.
"He will cry to Me, ‘Thou art my Father, My God, and the rock of my salvation.’ (Psalms 89:26)

2 Corinthians 1:2-4: Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

OT, NT God refers to Himself as Father. Why not in Quran? we are not asking why muslims don’t, we are asking why Allah doesn’t.
