I am in the very early process of converting to Catholicism. I’ve never been baptized so I will have to do that eventually. When I am baptized, will I have the opportunity to have a baptismal name? I hope so because I think it would be really great.

Yes, adult converts are usually given the opportunity to choose a baptismal or confirmation saint (depending on whether or not they were already baptized in another Christian community), whose name they then accept as a baptismal or confirmation name. It’s considered an opportunity to honor a saint whose life inspires you in some way, and to deepen your understanding of and appreciation for the communion of saints.
