Can an Eastern Rite Catholic receive sacraments from a Roman rite priest?

I’ve not gone for Confession/Penance in the Eastern Rite, not sure what the process is to receive that sacrament.
Much the same as the Latin Rite. Come when confessions are heard.

Speaking mainly from the Byzantine tradition …

Depending on the church, you may find the setting a bit disorienting. Confessionals are not traditional to the East, but may be in use. If not, it is customary to confess standing before the Gospel, normally placed on a stand situated near the icon screen. Folks coming for confession generally stay in the back of the church to maintain respectful privacy. If you let the priest know that you are Latin Rite, he will normally suggest you use the prayers before and after confession that you are accustomed to using. When giving absolution, the priest will cover your head with his stole.

I’m a Maronite who attends the Latin rite the majority of the time.

My wife (who is Italian/Latin rite) and I attend Maronite mass probably once every 4-6 weeks.

I think we are very blessed that there is a rich diversity of customs and traditions in the church that we can all benefit from.

Different languages, yet the one Holy, Catholic and Apostolic church.
