Can an ordinary priest absolve murder?

I saw this post, forums.catholic-questions.org/showthread.php?t=617554, which stated that a special dispensation was required for a priest to absolve sins related to abortion, and I was curious about a similar dispensation for murder. How would a priest respond to such a confession?

Hi,

A priest does not need special permission to absolve a person for the sin of murder. This is probably because everyone knows the seriousness of this sin. Abortion, however, is not always acknowledged for the serious sin this it is.
